Order Confirmation Email
Any order placed on the Furnish Your Home website is subject to acceptance. We’ll send you a confirmation email when we receive your order, detailing the final details of your purchase. This doesn’t indicate that a contract exists between us. You’ll then receive an order acknowledgement email. Your order is accepted when we dispatch your product(s). In the unlikely event that we change the price of an item you’ve ordered, we will always contact you before dispatching your items to make sure you’re happy with the new price.
One Year Guarantee
We want you to be happy with anything you buy from Furnish Your Home. That’s why all of our products come with a one-year domestic guarantee, in case anything goes wrong. Unfortunately, if you’ve use your goods within a public or commercial environment, the guarantee will be null and void.
For orders made from the UK or European Union, all product prices shown include 20% VAT. If you’re ordering from the Channel Islands, VAT will automatically be deducted from the total price at the checkout. If you’re a business owner in the Republic of Ireland and you need a VAT refund, please give our customer support team a call on 0121 567 3131.
Unless you’ve chosen a special delivery option at checkout, we’ll deliver your order on a weekday. We don’t deliver on public holidays. Free standard delivery for items over 30kg take between three and five days, and delivery will be completed between 8am and 6pm.
If you’ve ordered an item that weighs more than 30kg it will be delivered by our two-man service, which is also free of charge. The item will be delivered to the front door of your premises, which, if you live in a block of flats, will be the main door of the block.
Orders placed before 3pm on a weekday, weighing under 30kg, will be delivered free of charge, the next working day. If you place an order on a Friday before 3pm, we’ll deliver it to you the following Monday, unless it’s a public holiday (like a bank holiday, for example). If it’s more convenient for you, you can choose to have your item(s) delivered before 12pm the next working day for just £9.99. Just select this choice at checkout. You can also choose a Saturday delivery for just £12.99 if your item weighs less than 30kg. In this instance, we’ll deliver your item(s) between 8am and 6pm.
If you’re based in Scotland, or the South West of England, delivery will generally take between five and ten working days. Please be aware, however, that delivery to locations in the furthest corners of the UK can take up to 28 days. For clarification, please contact our customer support team. Our main couriers are UK Mail and Trident Logistics. Unfortunately, we’re not able to deliver to PO Box addresses.
If you need to send anything back to us within the first year because it’s faulty, we’ll be responsible for the shipping costs to you. While we do aim to deliver goods to mainland UK destinations on the next working day, we can’t be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery.
If we become aware of an unexpected delivery delay, we’ll let you know as soon as we can. Similarly, if you do experience any delay, please contact us. We’ll try to make sure you get your order as soon as possible, or, if the item(s) are yet to be dispatched, we’ll arrange a refund for you.
Pricing and Availability
All prices are inclusive of VAT, but do not include any delivery costs. While we try and ensure that details, descriptions and prices which appear on this website are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. If we discover an error in the price of any items you’ve ordered, we’ll inform you of this as soon as we can, and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we can’t get in touch with you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel your order and have already paid for the goods, you’ll receive a full refund.
When you place your order, we carry out a pre-authorisation check on your payment card as standard. This is just to make sure there are sufficient funds for your transaction. Your card will be debited once the order has been accepted.
Discount and Promotional Codes
Promotional codes entitle the purchaser, at the time of ordering, to a saving equivalent to the discount advertised at the time. Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions and are not valid on sale items or other discounted products. Promotional codes have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash. In the event of part of the order being returned, the value of the discount applied on that order will be spread between the goods proportionately. The sum in cash exceeding this value will be returned to the customer. Furnish Your Home reserves the right to decline orders where, in its opinion, a promotional code is invalid for the order being placed.
End of line stock
Products with ‘end of line’ in the product description are items which have been discontinued, which will be reflected in the price. These items are sold in a new condition. In the event that there’s an issue with an end of line item, we will be unable to source replacement parts of exchange the item for the same product. Your statutory right to a refund will not be unaffected.
In the unlikely event that your goods are delivered faulty or damaged, you must contact us within 14 days of the date of delivery for us to arrange a replacement. Guarantees issued by the manufacturer and ourselves concerning faulty or damaged goods do not in any way exclude your statutory rights of the customer under the Sale of Goods Act. There will be no charge for returning faulty goods to us.
We’ve made returns as easy as possible. If you change your mind, you can return goods you’ve ordered from us for any reason, at any time, within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange, without your statutory right to cancel being affected. If you do decide to return your items, we can arrange a pick up for you, free of charge for mainland UK customers. We do ask that items are unused and unassembled, in their original packaging and in a saleable condition. Upon cancellation of the order, we will issue a full refund of the amount paid, or exchange credit if required.
The right to return goods to us will not apply in the following circumstances. This does not affect your statutory right to cancel:
* In the event that the product has been used, unless faulty
* In the event that the product has been assembled, unless faulty
* To any products we have made or customised specifically for you
* To items we’ve ordered especially for yourself from our suppliers
Your right to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulation 2013, which you can find here
Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel your purchase of an item without having to give a reason at any time within the ‘cooling off period’ of 14 working days, beginning on the day after you receive your goods. If you’ve purchased goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, you will not have any right to cancel your order. If you do decide to cancel, please notify us of your cancellation in writing, or another durable medium, to our contact address.
If you are in possession of the goods you are under the duty to retain and take reasonable care of them. You can either send the goods back to us to our contact address at your own cost, as soon as possible, once you have cancelled the contract. Alternatively, we can collect the goods from you free of charge. In this event, you must make the goods available for collection. For further arrangements, we will contact you. Once you have notified us that you wish to cancel the contract, any sum debited to us will be refunded to you within 30 days of your cancellation.
We reserve the right to make a charge not exceeding our direct costs of recovering the goods if you do not return the goods.
Ownership of rights and intellectual property
By using this website, you acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights and all materials and/or content made available shall remain at all times vested in us or our licensors. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us or our licensors.
All rights on this website are owned by furnishyourhome.co.uk. Any attempt to copy, store or share content and information for commercial purposes is strongly prohibited. You must not attempt (and agree not to help any third party to attempt) to copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works from this website.
All payments for online and telephone orders should be made at the time of ordering. In the event that payments are found to be outstanding and goods have already been delivered, we will refer the matter to our debt collection agents, which will incur costs. Any costs incurred to collect the debt will be added to the debt, plus VAT at the prevailing rate. You agree that you will be legally liable to pay us that surcharge and that payment of the same can be enforced against you in court. You also agree to pay interest at the relevant reference rate provided for under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, which interest is payable both after and before any judgment of the court and continues to accrue.
Disclaimer of Liability
The material displayed on this website is provided without any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to its accuracy. Unless expressly stated to the contrary to the fullest extent permitted by law, Furnish Your Home and its suppliers, content providers and advertisers hereby expressly exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied by statute, common law or the law of equity and shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including but without limitation to any direct, indirect, special, consequential, punitive or incidental damages, or damages for loss of use, profits, data or other intangibles, damage to goodwill or reputation, or the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services, arising out of or related to the use, inability to use, performance or failures of this Website or the Linked Sites and any materials posted thereon, irrespective of whether such damages were foreseeable or arise in contract, tort, equity, restitution, by statute, at common law or otherwise. This does not affect Furnish Your Home’s liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, nor for fraudulent misrepresentation, misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and/or your use of the site shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that may arise.
The sole purpose of the site is to enable people to make purchases of products from Furnishyourhome.co.uk over the internet. Any personal information we collect from this website will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable laws.
